The Open Map Project is a project designed to combine maps from various user contributions and combine
and organize them into regions whereby users can download maps for their area.
This project was started in March 2003 by Robert Mech as an opportunity for end users to create
higher detailed maps than those available by Garmin's Cartography. These maps are free for
download and use by anyone. It is hoped that the end users contribute new maps to in order to make this
project a useable database for everyone.
User Contributions
This project can only succeed with user contributions. If you have a golf course, park, or other detail that you
want to submit to the project they are openly accepted and appreciated. They will be listed here by
US State or Country. Please submit the area for your US State or country to submissions@keenpeople.com
You only need to include the filename.txt file for that area. We will compile the .TXT file into a .IMG
and include it into the regions_pv.txt for that area. Please "Attach" your file and do not include it
into plain text or the body of the email.
